PPE for NHS staff campaign mount Downing Street Protest

A campaign by front-line doctors to secure better PPE mounted a protest at Downing Street during the last ‘Clap for Carers’ applause (Thursday 28 May). Doctors for the NHS supports their campaign.

The group, which is fighting its campaign through the crowd-funding website Crowd Justice, staged its protest for 237 seconds: one second for each healthcare worker’s life lost to Covid-19 so far. The group are aiming high: they are asking for £120,000 to cover the likely costs of a legal case against the government and its appalling record on PPE provision for healthcare staff during the pandemic.
