BMJ ESSAY COMPETITION: THE ESSAYS

‘Our profession in today’s NHS’ drew an astonishingly high calibre of responses from Junior doctors for the BMJ essay competition. Now you can read them for yourself. There surely has to be hope when junior members of the profession demonstrate not only their passion for the NHS, but such articulate and powerful arguments to defend it. As must we all. But with voices like these, the chorus of dissent surely sounds a deal stronger. There is inspiration here: drink deep. Download the PDFs  via the links.

Winning entry: Rose Penfold

Runners-up: Rob Rulach and Emily Whitehouse

Highly commended (alphabetical order):

Neil Colquhoun
Sarah Cowey

If you’ve felt as impressed by these as the judges were, please consider joining Doctors for the NHS. Help us build the chorus.
